Uncertainties
Went to Borders to educate myself on computer knowledge while waiting for dear sw to knock off. There was this article on one of the computer magazines that mentioned "The computer age advanced so fast that newer hardware keeps popping out.. the real joy and pleasure is the anticipation or desire to own the latest one, but not actually buying the thing itself.." It's pretty true because if I buy for an example, graphics card, I'm unsure how long it's gonna last before a newer and upgraded version replaces it. So the thing now is to enjoy the thought of buying a new graphics card, while trying to save up, which is the most important thing now.
Next semester is my attachment semester. My original attachment location was supposed to be at Tuas, so that I will not waste my hostel room. But alas, the human resource manager relocated me to Kallang Bahru without even telling me. Now I even asked the school attachment officer for approval to change my location back to Tuas, to the expense of changing to another company. It's barely 2 weeks to first day of attachment and I have yet received any news of the approval. Moreover, I am even unsure of a guaranteed hostel room.
Life has so many uncertainties. Decisions have been made, but not all can be controlled. All that can be done is wait. As in "wait death" in chinese.

Ugly
Prices can be sensitive issues. Just look at all the shops and promotion lists in sim lim square. Products-tied-in, slashed prices, future discounts, additional freebies, u name it. Due to these ugly competition, many shops are forced to close down. I have been falling behind on hardware knowledge, newer games require better graphics cards and RAM, which I seriously need to play the latest tantalising games, haha.. PCI express motherboard and graphics card plus 1GB RAM is what i need to zhng my com. So here enters the comparing-of-prices-and-bargains tactics, sorry for those shops, it's a dog-eat-dog world.
This ugly scene not only applies to men, but to women as well. 3 words can easily sum up an example of this situation -- "Mango.Sale.50%". You would not want to witness it.

Just the beginning
We thought it will be the end of things after the long, torturous yet enjoyable EID, but boy, am i wrong.. soon, it's back for more meetings, canvassing, senior camp, and last but not least - industrial attachment.. what's infuriating is that my attachment place turns out to be at kallang bahru instead of tuas, which will defeat the purpose of my hostel room.. argh.. i should begin my training now for my ippt, to replace back my first catch in this Great Singapore Sale -- beetle bug shoes with promotion price somemore.. haha, i just love promotion stuff..
I met wan 'er in junction 8, and i almost cannot recognise her in her black plastic thick-rimmed specs.. haha, always show the best side of you online.. next time i see her, i will post her dress-down look, muahahaha.. she was kinda surprised to see me there, because she said that junction 8 was her "homeground" and she seldom bumped into me, before hopping away with Ray into the music store.. I strongly believe that she is the daughter of a tycoon who owns junction 8.. hope she can give me some shopping vouchers..

Results
The news shuddered everyone when it was announced that our exam results will be released on 6th of june 06 - it was the same day as the release of the movie "The Omen".. *gasps*
But i think that is the reason why the school has decided to release the exam results yesterday, so as to prevent students to come back and "haunt" (read:appeal) the school admin staff.. haha.. nothing amazing on the results, same old letters thoughout the years.. i thought i would do better this sem, since we studied together most of the time, finishing tutorials, going for quizzes, late night revision, and i'm glad nobody has to "da bao" anything.. (read:YFK need to join us)
Just when my mind was revolving about results, i received news on how our fellow final year hall people fared for this last leg of the race.. the question after hearing so many comments remains - what determines your honours? your FYP grade? your results throughout the years? with different percentage weightage? or has it got to do with the whole cohort considering the so-called bell curve situation?
Anyway, i lose two meals to my dear sw based on our results.. next time i must beat her!! (read:not physically)

Mishap
What should be a relaxing and supposedly "no-kick" night cycling had to be abandoned due to an "falling off bike" accident.. and my dear sw has to endure multiple scratches and wounds.. i hope she has a speedy recovery.. wish i was the one who fall off the bike instead..
P.S. special thanks to xw, ll, bq and wj for escorting two extra bikes back to east coast.. see u around in the next cycling trip.. (if there is one)
